We're seeking a Production Planning Coordinator to support production scheduling, customer order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and cross-functional communication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Production Planning Coordinator Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

Production Planning Coordinator Experience Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in production scheduling, customer service, sales support, operations coordination, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with production planning and scheduling in a manufacturing setting.
  • Inventory control and cycle count experience required.
  • Experience using ERP or manufacturing software such as IQMS or similar systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook skills.
  • Experience analyzing operational or sales data is preferred.
  • Packaging industry experience is a plus but not required.

Production Planning Coordinator Job Duties

  • Coordinate and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as priorities change.
  • Communicate schedule changes, production delays, and material constraints to internal departments.
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing, order status, lead times, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate inventory control activities and cycle count administration.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and inventory audits.
  • Review production capacity and communicate schedule updates to customers and internal teams.
  • Support pricing, quotation requests, and production reporting activities.
  • Maintain accurate customer, sales, scheduling, and order data within company systems.
  • Analyze customer and sales data to support operational decision-making.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for management.
  • Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.

Production Planning Coordinator Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, telephone, and office equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 20-60 pounds.
  • Ability to move between office and production areas as needed.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety eyewear and hearing protection, when entering production areas.
  • Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels.
