Synigent is seeking an experienced Manager, Production Planning for one of our clients to lead production planning and control for a Richmond-area manufacturing operation. This role will oversee a team of approximately 17 employees and ensure production schedules, materials, capacity, and resources are aligned to meet customer demand and delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage production schedules across manufacturing operations.
Lead and develop the production planning team.
Balance customer demand with capacity, inventory, materials, and labor.
Monitor production performance and resolve scheduling or material constraints.
Utilize ERP/MRP systems and production data to improve planning and execution.
Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Customer Service to meet business objectives.
Qualifications
Manufacturing experience with 35+ years of leadership experience.
Strong background in production planning, scheduling, production control, and inventory management.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred: APICS or Six Sigma certification and automotive or aerospace manufacturing experience.
