Job Title

Roles and Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Scheduling:

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and execution of the master production schedule to meet customer demand while optimizing plant capacity and resources.
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials and work orders within and between departments to ensure adherence to production schedules.
  • Monitor production performance against plan and drive corrective actions to address schedule deviations or operational constraints.
  • Partner with manufacturing leadership to optimize throughput, resource allocation, and schedule execution.

Supply Planning & S&OP:

  • Lead the site supply planning process supporting the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (S&OP)/IBP cycle.
  • Develop mid-term supply plans that align forecasted demand with available capacity, labor, and material supply.
  • Identify potential capacity, material, or staffing constraints and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to leadership to support supply-demand balancing decisions.

Inventory Management:

  • Manage site inventory strategy across Raw Materials, Work-in-Process, and Finished Goods.
  • Optimize inventory levels to support customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Generate and review regular inventory performance reporting to monitor inventory health and identify improvement opportunities.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure alignment between production plans, material availability, and customer requirements.
  • Review operational reports, records, and performance metrics, to support planning decisions and improve operational performance.
  • Support new product introductions, demand changes, and operational improvements through planning analysis and coordination.

Continuous Improvement & Systems:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within planning processes, systems, and analytics.
  • Research and implement improved planning tools, methods, and best practices to increase efficiency and visibility across the supply chain.
  • Support data accuracy and system integrity within ERP and planning systems.

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead and develop the site production planning team, ensuring clear roles, accountability, and professional development.
  • Conduct recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of planning team members.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and annual performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, attendance expectations, and workplace standards.
  • Partner with Human Resources on employee relations matters when required.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience managing planning teams in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes is strongly preferred.

Functional/Technical Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate demand, supply, capacity, and inventory scenarios.
  • Experience developing planning models and working with complex datasets to support decision making.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain planning concepts including MRP, capacity planning, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present data, insights, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and global environment.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Experience working with ERP and advanced planning systems.
