Production Quality Manager

Job Description:

• The Production Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality standards and compliance within the automotive parts manufacturing processes.
• They will lead a team of quality technicians, providing guidance and support to drive continuous improvement and eliminate defects.
• This role will actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of quality issues, develop corrective action plans, and monitor their implementation.
• They will also play a key role in promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

• Lead and develop a team of quality engineers and technicians, providing coaching and support to ensure their success.
• Develop and implement quality standards, procedures, and guidelines to meet customer requirements and industry standards.
• Responsible for production total quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain, to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Investigate root causes of quality defects and develop comprehensive corrective action plans, ensuring their timely and effective implementation.
• Responsible for production quality metrics and KPIs within Mafact standards to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to resolve complex quality issues and improve process capabilities.
• Lead and participate in problem-solving activities, utilizing tools such as Six Sigma, Shainin, PDCA, and 8D.
• Train employees on quality standards, processes, and tools to enhance their understanding and adherence to quality requirements.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality consciousness throughout the organization.
• Monitor attendance, performance reviews, vacation requests, ect.

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in quality engineering in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in leading teams.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, tools, and methodologies.
• Proficient in problem-solving techniques, such as Six Sigma, PDCA, Shainin, 8D, and statistical analysis.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Experience in leading a team including; performance reviews/management, disciplinary action, attendance, career development.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
• Proven experience working with cross functional teams to complete daily tasks and projects.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other employees.
• Knowledge/experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
