ROLE:
Alliance Door Products is seeking an experienced Production Scheduler to support sales and operations through accurate and timely scheduling of daily door shop production work orders. HOURS:
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
WAGE:
- Starting at $26.00-$33.00 per hour, depending on experience
RESPONSABILITIES:
- Input, update, and maintain all daily shop work orders in the production schedule.
- Manage production decisions regarding which work orders are completed daily to meet productivity standards.
- Manage and update the production calendar for Inside Sales.
- Answer all Inside Sales and Shop production scheduling questions.
- Manage all production scheduling date changes on work orders.
- Review complex commercial machining work orders with the Production Supervisor to ensure information, templates, and product specifications are complete and accurate.
- Schedule and route third-party logistics for all prefinished products returning to the shop for post-pre-finish machining, crating, and related work.
- Issue fire labels and manage all fire label logs.
- Organize and prepare all production paperwork for Door Pullers, Glazing, and Millwork.
- Review daily production expectations with the Production Supervisor each morning.
- Create and print CNC machine programs and attach them to Manufacturing Work Orders.
- Perform other production scheduling-related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED and PREFERRED
- Ability to manage multiple schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various departments and teams.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop solutions.
- Familiarity with production processes, scheduling software, and inventory management systems.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in schedules and data management.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles, including how to optimize processes and reduce waste.
- High school diploma or equivalent job experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Office.
- Must have Microsoft Excel experience.
- Company VAI system experience is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time, with the option to stand or sit while stationary.
- Occasionally move about inside both an office and a warehouse setting.
- Constantly operate a computer and other office machines, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly in written and verbal form so others will understand.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
