Description

Overview: Sterling Engineering is partnering with a leading metal manufacturing company to hire a Production Master Scheduler. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient production planning, maximizing manufacturing resources, and supporting on time customer delivery.
 
Location: Carbondale, PA 18407
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 1st Shift
Compensation: $65,000-$70,000 Base + Monthly Performance Bonus
Hire Type: Direct Hire

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production schedules within the Epicor ERP system.
  • Manage production capacity and resource planning to support customer demand.
  • Monitor ERP data accuracy and make updates to maintain scheduling integrity.
  • Collaborate with production, operations, sales, and other departments to optimize workflow.
  • Communicate production schedules, order priorities, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate expedited orders when necessary to meet customer expectations.
  • Track production lead times and on time delivery performance.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and recommend scheduling improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Analyze production data and scheduling performance to improve operational results.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of production scheduling experience in a high mix, high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using ERP software for production scheduling; Epicor experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze production data and make informed scheduling decisions.
  • Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
