About the Production Coordinator position
We are looking for a Production Coordinator to establish and adjust effective and efficient production plans that maximize productivity minimize delays and reduce scrap by producing the required materials in the necessary quantities. This role also ensures smooth communication with the production floor to facilitate seamless execution of the established plans. You should be highly competent and comprehend complex operations. We also expect you to be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs.
Coordinator responsibilities are
Perform all work safely and according to company standards
Work well with others within the team and throughout the organization
Regular attendance is an essential function of the position
Assist with developing production plans to ensure continuous production
Update production plans in the system for efficient information sharing and smooth production
Perform scrap reduction activities
Build a good rapport with the Manufacturing and Quality Units for effective communication
Communicate with the Manufacturing Units on a regular basis modify production plans referring to their feedback e.g. the level of production demands
Perform administrative work related to daily production
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Coordinator requirements are
Education Required bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred advanced degree in a related field
Experience Preferred previous relevant experience
Preferred previous experience in the manufacturing industry
Language Required good command of written and spoken English
Skills & Knowledge
Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning resource allocation human resources modeling leadership technique production methods and coordination of people and resources
Engineering and Technology - Demonstrated know-how related to practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles techniques procedures and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials production processes quality control costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Mechanical - Functional knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance. Applied understanding of predictive preventive and proactive maintenance methodologies
Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems
Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying taking time to understand the points being made asking questions
