Overview

The Production Scheduler will support manufacturing operations by coordinating and managing production schedules within fabrication processes, specifically laser cutting and forming. This role requires strong attention to detail, cross-functional communication, and the ability to work both independently and directly on the production floor to ensure efficient workflow and on-time completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules to support fabrication operations including laser cutting and forming
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other schedulers to align production priorities and resolve scheduling conflicts
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet changing demands and deadlines
• Spend a majority of time (approximately 75% or more) on the production floor gathering insights, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring schedule adherence
• Utilize ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Excel tools to track, analyze, and report production data
• Communicate schedule updates clearly across teams to ensure alignment and operational efficiency
• Work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a highly collaborative team environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field OR High School Diploma with 5+ years of production scheduling experience
• 1+ years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred for degreed candidates)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills with intermediate Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal direction
• Willingness to work extensively on the production floor

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Experience supporting fabrication, manufacturing, or production environments
• Prior exposure to scheduling within machining, cutting, or forming operations
