Location: 6525 Homestead Road, Houston, TX 77028
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

The Dixon Group is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Production Scheduler/Expeditor to join our Dixon Specialty Products team! In this role, you will play a critical part in keeping our manufacturing operations running smoothly—balancing customer demand, production capacity, and material availability to ensure on‑time delivery and operational efficiency. This position is ideal for a professional with experience in a manufacturing environment who enjoys problem‑solving, collaboration, and working with cross‑functional teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and operational priorities.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to align schedules with capacity and demand.
  • Monitor production progress and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts or constraints.
  • Create and maintain factory orders, routings, and production documentation.
  • Analyze material availability and inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders to domestic and international vendors, ensuring timely acknowledgment.
  • Maintain vendor pricing and support supply chain accuracy.
  • Utilize scheduling and ERP systems to track timelines, status, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare production and scheduling reports for management review.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards, and perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Provide back-up support to front desk operations as needed (including phone and visitor reception).

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in production scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, or manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Strong Excel skills are required).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • The ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
