Summary:
The Production Scheduler plays a crucial role in the manufacturing and production sector by ensuring that production schedules are optimally planned and executed. They have ownership of all scheduling activities within the production environment, FG inventory allocations and ensures that work orders are built appropriately to support the SKUs necessary to meet the customer's requirements and to support forecast visibility. Based in Lebanon, Tennessee, this permanent full-time position is essential for maintaining efficiency and meeting customer demands, thereby contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
- Coordinate with various departments, including procurement, production, and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
- Insert Sales Order Demand into NetSuite/Netstock for rolling 24-month with Planned Work Orders MPS VS S&OP.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or production capacity.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Conveyance or Quality on all Engineering Changes or Quality issues.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement in scheduling processes.
- Responsible for Production Schedule of Customer Orders for each week.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding production status and any potential issues.
- Assisting purchasing with new product development projects for packaging and raw materials with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in production scheduling or a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems that may cover NetSuite, SAP, ORACLE, etc.
- Proficient in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
