Job Description

Are you an experienced sewing and or fabrication professional with a passion for leadership, quality, and continuous improvement? We are looking for a Production Shop Supervisor to lead our sewing operations and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.In this role, you will supervise daily shop activities, support employee growth, coordinate production schedules, and drive continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing teamWhat You'll DoSupervise and coordinate daily sewing shop operations to meet production schedules and customer requirements.Assign work based on team member skill levels, workload, and production prioritiesMonitor quality standards and reduce defects and reworkTrain, coach, and mentor employees through all levels of the sewing skills progression programConduct quality inspections and provide corrective guidance as neededTroubleshoot equipment, process, and quality issuesPromote and enforce workplace safety standards and best practicesCollaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Management teams to improve processes and resolve challengesCoordinate equipment maintenance needs and monitor machine performanceMaintain accurate production and training recordsSupport hiring, onboarding, employee development, and performance management initiativesLead special projects and continuous improvement effortsQualificationsRequired EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentRequired Experience7+ years of sewing and/or fabrication experience.Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.Preferred Skills & AbilitiesExpert knowledge of sewing, RF welding, wedge welding, Gerber cutting, and related fabrication processesStrong leadership, communication, and team-building skillsProven ability to train, mentor, and evaluate team membersAdvanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesStrong understanding of materials, construction methods, quality standards, and production requirementsAbility to interpret drawings, specifications, work orders, and customer requirementsBasic computer and production reporting skillsCommitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
