Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment by cleaning and sanitizing equipment, work areas, and facility spaces. Their duties include following sanitation procedures, using cleaning chemicals safely, and ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.
Sanitation Technician Job duties can include:
· Cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, tools, and workstations according to company and safety guidelines
· Sweeping, mopping, and washing floors, walls, and drains to maintain a sanitary facility
· Disposing of waste, trash, and recyclable materials properly and safely
· Using and storing cleaning chemicals in compliance with safety regulations
· Inspecting work areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met and reporting any issues
· Following food safety, OSHA, and company sanitation policies at all times
· Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) during all sanitation tasks
· Assisting with deep cleaning during shutdowns or changeovers
· Restocking cleaning supplies and reporting low inventory
· Identifying and reporting potential safety or contamination risks to supervisors
