Now Hiring: Direct Hire Production Specialist in Georgetown, KY

Job Summary: Direct and manage plant operations in our glass department.

Located in the charming city of Georgetown, Kentucky, known for its rich history and beautiful landscapes, this role offers a unique opportunity to join our team in a dynamic and growing community.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping/receiving.
  • Coordinate plant activities with departmental managers to ensure manufacturing objectives are achieved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and manage budgets, financial plans, and profit goals.
  • Implement cost-effective controls over capital expenditures, operating costs, client, wages, and salaries.
  • Manage capital asset maintenance programs and processes.
  • Establish and monitor overall plant performance to meet production and quality standards.
  • Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; oversee replacements and necessary adjustments.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and training to accomplish company goals and objectives.
  • Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
  • Promote 5S practices, shop floor organization, and facility cleanliness.
  • Provide direction, development, and leadership to production supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and TS-16949 standards.
  • Support and comply with ISO-14001 responsibilities and requirements.
  • Consult with engineering personnel regarding machine and equipment modifications to improve production and product quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous factory or warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with assembly line operations and manufacturing processes.
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
  • Ability to operate forklifts is a plus; certification may be required.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
