Production Underwriter or Senior Production Underwriter
Location: Overland Park, KS — onsite, hybrid, or remote within regional proximity for periodic team alignment
The Numbers: 110K – 150K+ Total Comp (base + performance upside tied to book results — range flexes based on existing production footprint and underwriting specialization)

This is a specialty insurance platform operating across dealer solutions and underwriting programs, backed by a strong balance sheet and active growth across multiple product lines. With operations centralized in Overland Park, the firm is continuing to build out its underwriting capability—bringing together technical underwriting with closer alignment to distribution and broker relationships.
The Mission
Own and grow a book of business within a structure that removes friction between underwriting and distribution. This role exists to give underwriters direct visibility into both risk selection and the relationships driving deal flow—allowing for cleaner execution, faster decisions, and stronger long-term portfolio performance.
The Daily Grind (The Good Kind)
- Book Ownership: Build and manage a profitable portfolio with full visibility into how your book performs over time.
- Risk Selection: Underwrite and structure deals across your assigned segment, balancing growth with disciplined selection.
- Broker Alignment: Maintain direct relationships with brokers and agents tied to your book, keeping deal flow consistent and actionable.
- Opportunity Capture: Stay close to submissions and renewals, capturing opportunities already within your workflow without added layers.
- Portfolio Strategy: Understand how your book fits into the broader platform and adjust accordingly to maintain profitability.
Your Toolkit
- The Battle Scars: Experience in commercial underwriting, MGA environments, or broker-side roles with exposure to risk selection and portfolio management.
