RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a safe work environment and report all incidents or hazards to the Operations Manager immediately.
Administer health and safety policies for all tasks.
Notify the Operations Manager of issues affecting plant safety or efficiency.
Ensure compliance with MSHA and Company safety requirements.
Conduct group and individual safety training.
Identify and coordinate additional training needs for plant personnel.
Maintain high product quality standards.
Enforce "Good Housekeeping" practices throughout the plant.
Manage production activities, including:
Barge and Mobile Equipment Operations
Wet Processing and Float Operations
Drying and Screening
Bagging, Warehouse and Loadout
Direct the workforce to achieve production goals efficiently while minimizing costs.
Coordinate with other supervisors to ensure smooth shift transitions.
Monitor and recommend staffing adjustments.
Develop personnel through cross-training.
Submit accurate labor and operating reports.
Manage attendance and leave in the staffing software.
Record safety data in the tracking system.
Manage maintenance requests and work orders.
Maintain professional interactions with all Company employees and customers.
Represent the Company positively to the public.
Identify and promote operational improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
At least 2 years of experience in production and shipping.
Proven supervisory experience in an industrial or mining setting.
Strong teamwork skills.
Effective communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.
