Production Superintendent

As Production Superintendent, you’ll guide daily operations, support supervisors, and help drive continuous improvement across the plant.
Job Responsibilities as the Production Superintendent:
- Lead daily production activities — safety, quality, scheduling, workflow, and shipping.
- Maintain a safe, compliant work environment and drive strong safety culture.
- Recommend equipment and supply needs to keep the facility efficient and up‑to‑date.
- Partner with engineering on new projects and equipment upgrades; support capital requests.
- Prepare safety meeting content and training materials.
- Manage budgets for your areas and ensure alignment with plant goals.
- Mentor supervisors and build strong teamwork across departments.
- Coordinate closely with maintenance, technical, quality, procurement, and environmental teams.
- Champion continuous improvement and support positive change across the plant.
Requirements for this Production Superintendent role:
·Strong manufacturing knowledge and solid understanding of equipment and processes.
·Preference for at least 7 years of wood industry experience.
- Self‑motivated, organized, and skilled at communication and problem‑solving.
- Ability to work well with people at all levels and lead teams through growth and change.
- Working knowledge of accounting, purchasing, engineering, and employee relations.
