Job Description

  • Lead and supervise 2nd shift (3 PM - 11 PM) production teams operating converting and finishing equipment.
  • Plan, organize, and adjust daily workflow to meet production, quality, and on-time delivery targets.
  • Coach, train, and onboard new operators and helpers to build a skilled, engaged crew.
  • Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
  • Promote a strong safety culture; conduct regular safety and production huddles with the team.
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Review production data, identify bottlenecks or waste, and implement improvements.
  • Partner with other supervisors and departments to support smooth shift handoffs and communication.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production supervision; packaging a plus.
  • Proven experience leading hourly teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Comfortable working in or around a unionized workforce.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail and quality.
  • Solid computer skills for reporting, scheduling, and production tracking.
  • Familiarity with quality or continuous improvement tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, ISO) preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Able to work weekends when necessary.
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
