POSITION SUMMARY
Advocate and support the Corporate WIN Strategy by managing and improving the quality, cost, delivery, morale, and safety of a production area.
SUPERVISION AND INTERACTION
Supervisory responsibility includes but is not limited to:
- Training and developing subordinates
- Delegating work assignments
- Writing and conducting performance appraisals
- Coaching and counseling employees
- Administering disciplinary procedures up to and including Written Warnings
- The employee has the responsibility and authority to identify the status of production materials and take action with such materials as defined in such documents as controlled plans and work instructions
- Will interact with employees at all levels of the organization, customers, and outside contacts
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervise and direct work activity of Production Assembly and Lead staff in assigned area
- Distribute workload appropriately
- Motivate and empower subordinates
- Develop subordinates through construction and execution of development plans
- Foster a culture of accountability by aligning team performance with organizational goals and operational excellence standards
- Work with team members to identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Measure department execution and sustainment efforts by establishing and monitoring daily key performance indicators (KPI) across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and production
- Leverage data-driven insights to ensure daily targets are met
- Constantly identify and eliminate waste in assigned departments
- Champion Lean Kaizen events to identify cost and time savings
- Participate in cost-reduction programs
- Coordinate new product launches with Engineering
- Ensure quality standards are met that emphasize and focus on continuous improvement in an effort to improve manufacturing capability and reduce rework and scrap
- Contain source of quality issues
- Communicate with customers and establish and maintain effective relationships
- Coordinate corrective action activities
- Perform capacity analysis using build plans
- Determine staffing requirements for the assigned production area
- Ensure that departmental productivity targets are met to meet customer requirements
- Troubleshoot scheduling and material issues
- Develop and deploy standardized work instructions of assigned departments
- Ensure process stability through following standardized work
- Promote and enforce compliance of safety policies and procedures
- Conduct safety investigations and audits
- Address safety non-compliance
- Maintain Operation Showcase
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and experience typically acquired through either a B.A. or B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline
- 2 years of training and direct experience within the manufacturing area or specialty function
- Demonstrated ability to perform the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results
- Practical knowledge of products, manufacturing processes, and/or specialty areas in quality or operations support
- Ability to analyze reports and information using available information systems (e.g., MRP or other planning/execution systems)
- General knowledge of business and government regulations (e.g., manufacturing specifications, FAA safety)
- Previous team participation skills and ability to develop team members through skill assessment and training
- Supportive of team involvement and process
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.

- Competitive Compensation: Pay Range $72,650 to $121,050 annually
