About the Role:

Based in Hartsville, TN, this key bilingual (Spanish/English) leadership role will cover our 2nd shift Production Supervisor responsibilities from Mixing, Filling and Production. Reporting into our WeldOn Operations Manager, this leader will be responsible for leading the manufacturing processes and daily operations across multiple functions (Compounding/Mixing and Production). They''ll set and drive production goals to meet daily production schedules, quality standards, and safe work practices. This role works and collaborates across other functional areas to ensure both customer and business needs are met. Leadership in this role encourages and enables the team while also holding employees accountable for individual and team performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet manufacturing goals by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Maintain quality by establishing and enforcing organizational quality standards.
  • Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; and recommending action.
  • Must adhere to all standard and specialized PPE requirements at all times.
  • Other duties as needed.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor''s degree from an accredited college/university preferred or equivalent manufacturing work experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with production planning, controls, and instrumentation.
  • Experience with financial planning and strategy, as well as tracking budget expenses preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to identify operational deficiencies through data and drive improvements using internal tools.
  • Ability to deliver sustainable results that align with Company and functional priorities.
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships across the team.
  • Ability to effectively communicate goals, priorities, changes, instructions, safety, and other important key messages.

Preferred Experience:

  • Lean or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience working in JD Edwards E1.
  • Experience with production planning, controls, and instrumentation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work 2nd shift 1:15pm to 10:00pm
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and move items or boxes up to 30 pounds
