A leading design and fabrication company is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee night shift operations and ensure safety, quality, and production goals are met. The ideal candidate is a strong manufacturing leader with supervisory experience, the ability to manage teams and workflow effectively, and a commitment to driving on-time, high-quality production. Working with a high level of accountability, this role plays a key part in coordinating staff, equipment, and daily operations to support continuous production success.
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000
Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: 2nd shift- 2:00pm-10:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Oversee night shift production and operations to ensure safety, quality, and output goals are met.
- Coordinate daily activities of production and operations teams.
- Delegate assignments to appropriate personnel based on production needs.
- Partner with day shift leadership to ensure smooth and continuous operations across shifts.
- Collaborate with maintenance to resolve equipment downtime and production interruptions.
- Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate team members.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action as needed, including participation in the progressive disciplinary process.
- Review, prepare, and communicate production status reports.
- Compile and track production data to support operational performance.
- Identify and promote continuous improvement opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safe working conditions throughout the facility.
- Serve as a primary safety leader by reinforcing safe work habits and manufacturing best practices.
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required
- 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment required
- 4+ years of supervisory or management experience required
- Experience working in an ISO or other regulated manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage staff, workflow, and production priorities effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production environment
