This is a 2nd shift position working Monday–Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Some overtime and schedule flexibility will be required based on business needs.
The Production Supervisor leads day-to-day manufacturing operations for the 2ndshift and is accountable for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People results. This role coaches and develops a team of hourly employees, executes the production plan, drives problem-solving and continuous improvement, and ensures strong cross-shift communication. You’ll partner with Quality, Maintenance, Planning/Materials, and EHS to keep operations running safely and efficiently while building a culture of standard work, engagement, and ownership.
+ Lead shift start-ups and daily production meetings; align the team on priorities, review KPIs and action plans, and drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost results
+ Execute the daily/weekly production plan by staffing appropriately, assigning work, setting priorities, and removing barriers to output and quality.
+ Champion EHS compliance: enforce safe work practices, conduct observations/audits, ensure LOTO and other permit compliance (e.g., confined space), and lead incident reporting, investigation, and corrective actions.
+ Ensure products meet standards by partnering with Quality, supporting ISO systems, and responding quickly to defects with containment and root cause/corrective action.
+ Drive continuous improvement (WCM/Lean/TPM/5S): maintain daily KPI reporting, lead problem-solving, and implement sustainable countermeasures through Kaizen and standard work.
+ Partner with Maintenance to support autonomous maintenance, equipment care, and effective downtime escalation and recovery.
+ Develop and lead people by ensuring appropriate training of employees, reinforcing work instructions/SOPs, coaching performance, recognizing wins, and addressing performance and conduct issues fairly and consistently.
+ Support hiring and selection for hourly roles in partnership with HR; help build strong shift coverage and capability.
+ Approve timecards and attendance in UKG and ensure pay practices align with company policies.
+ Maintain strong cross-shift communication and accurate documentation to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent performance.
+ Perform other duties as assigned to support plant goals.
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ 3+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing.
+ Working knowledge of safe work practices, incident reporting/investigation, and shop-floor compliance expectations.
+ Strong communication skills and the ability to coach, influence, and hold teams accountable.
+ Must possess a proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to analyze information and make sound decisions.
+ Experience with SAP or other similar ERP system.
+ Familiarity with ISO systems, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
