    Description

    Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift

    $90k+ per year DOE

    Hours: 2:30pm – 11:30pm

    Do you have a passion for producing high-quality food in a fast-paced environment? Due to a recent promotion, we're looking for a Second Shift Production Supervisor in the Sioux City area. This is a direct hire opportunity!  

    In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring we consistently produce the best products while maintaining top-notch safety and efficiency. You'll lead and support our team, manage production schedules, and uphold our high standards for food and operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee department production operations, ensuring daily targets are met for safety, quality, and output.
    • Monitor production workflow and equipment performance to optimize efficiency while upholding strict quality standards.
    • Lead shift handoffs and communications to guarantee seamless operational continuity between teams.
    • Provide direct supervision and mentorship to production associates, fostering a productive, positive, and safe work environment.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, empowering the team to enhance product quality, efficiency, and engagement.
    • Enforce and ensure compliance with all food safety standards, including HACCP and GMPs, as well as company policies.
    • Perform routine quality inspections to confirm products consistently meet all specifications and quality standards.
    • Uphold and enforce all sanitation and safety protocols to maintain a clean and secure production area.
    • Maintain and manage accurate production records and report on key shift performance metrics.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing required. Natural or specialty foods a plus.
    • Working knowledge of BRC, GMP’s, HACCP
    • 2+ years of experience managing and leading a team
    • Bilingual Spanish a plus
    • Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
    • Above average mechanical aptitude
    • Strong basic math aptitude
    • Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to solve problems and work safely in a manufacturing environment

     Compensation and Benefits:

    • Pay rate based on experience and skills.
    • Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance. 401(k). PTO. Employees are eligible for benefits the first of the month following the month of hire.
