Responsibilities and Tasks
- Providing guidance and leadership to all department personnel on assigned shift.
- Manage line efficiencies, key performance indicators, and downtime.
- Monitor the production process, conduct periodic checks, and adjust equipment or work practices in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Ensure equipment in the area assigned is in working order and that working conditions are safe at all times.
- Verify the production line's readiness at start-up.
- Manage overall product quality to ensure all standards and specifications.
- Assist employees with troubleshooting problems and coaching them through making the correct adjustments.
- Staff, train, evaluate, and develop team members.
- Champion for company -wide safety programs and initiatives
- Provide coaching, problem-solving, and team building for the department
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required with 2+ years supervising production staff.
- Basic computer and database application skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work within timelines and in pressure situations.
- Ability to handle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
- Schedule may include weekends.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Food Manufacturing experience.

Work Environment:
- Work is normally performed in a sub-zero freezer/warehouse/production environment.
- As part of the job requirements, the employee will be exposed to working in a warehouse setting with cold temperatures (-20 °C) at times.
- Must be flexible with work schedule that supports a 24-hour production facility.
