 Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Providing guidance and leadership to all department personnel on assigned shift.
  • Manage line efficiencies, key performance indicators, and downtime.
  • Monitor the production process, conduct periodic checks, and adjust equipment or work practices in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure equipment in the area assigned is in working order and that working conditions are safe at all times.
  • Verify the production line's readiness at start-up.
  • Manage overall product quality to ensure all standards and specifications.
  • Assist employees with troubleshooting problems and coaching them through making the correct adjustments.
  • Staff, train, evaluate, and develop team members.
  • Champion for company -wide safety programs and initiatives
  • Provide coaching, problem-solving, and team building for the department

 Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required with 2+ years supervising production staff.
  • Basic computer and database application skills.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work within timelines and in pressure situations.
  • Ability to handle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Schedule may include weekends.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Food Manufacturing experience.

Work Environment: 

  • Work is normally performed in a sub-zero freezer/warehouse/production environment.
  • As part of the job requirements, the employee will be exposed to working in a warehouse setting with cold temperatures (-20 °C) at times.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule that supports a 24-hour production facility.
