Job Position: Production Supervisor

Shift: Typical M-F schedule

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations within an ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment, with direct oversight of package assembly, test, and reliability teams. This role supports the production of mission-critical semiconductor and RF products used in commercial, military, and space applications.
The supervisor ensures production schedules are met with 100% on-time delivery while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and contamination control. This position requires strong coordination with engineering, quality, and program management teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Notes from the client:

Clean Room environment, 8-9 operators, need someone comfortable in the clean room, full "bunny suit". Much of their time must be spent in this room (80%). Overseeing a team, good communication, being on top of the work flow, product flow. Someone with assembly experience is perfect, but they don't need to know how the product works. Attending meeting, leading operations, operationally focused, owns production beginning to end. Need to have experience working with engineers, reading schematics, plans, etc. Must be a good strong leader with the knack of constructive coaching. Some of the operators have been there 15+ years! Just need guidance. There will be some downtime - should use that time for process improvement, cross training, etc.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Operations & Scheduling
Lead and supervise daily operations across assembly, test, and reliability functions in a cleanroom environment.
Own production planning and scheduling, ensuring alignment with customer demand and program timelines.
Monitor work-in-progress, prioritize jobs, and adjust schedules to meet changing requirements.
Manage labor allocation, staffing levels, and shift coverage to meet production goals.
Optimize tool utilization and equipment capacity to maintain efficient production flow. Track and improve key metrics including throughput (UPH), cycle time, and on-time delivery. Partner with engineering teams to improve process efficiency, yield, and throughput.
Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Support and lead new product introduction activities, ensuring smooth transition from development to production.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Cleanroom Compliance, Quality & Reliability

Ensure compliance with protocols, quality systems, and high-reliability manufacturing standards.
Monitor yield, defect trends, and reliability data;implement improvements as needed.
Ensure proper identification, documentation, and escalation of nonconforming materials.

Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop a team of operators and technicians in a cleanroom environment. Manage shift schedules, attendance, and overtime requirements. Crosstrain and develop talent.

Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3 7+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience (assembly, test, or packaging preferred).
1 3+ years of supervisory experience in a cleanroom or high-tech manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, and procedures. Experience with production planning, scheduling, and resource management.
