Our Client, an Automotive company, is looking for a Production Supervisor for their Bowling Green, KY location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Successful candidate must perform functions as it relates to safety, people, quality, responsiveness and environmental.
  • Ensuring quality vehicles are built within the department and non-conformance is followed up on.
  • Employees time is completed daily for payroll
  • Throughput efficiencies and measured and improved upon daily.
  • Manage cost through scrap reduction initiatives
  • Problem solving of issues within the department.
  • People management and issue resolution between employees and quick grievance resolution.
  • Key responsibilities for the group leader in this role - Successful candidate will be a production supervisor in general assembly.
  • They will be managing a group of represented hourly employees in the day to day operation of vehicle manufacturing..
  • Manage cost through scrap reduction initiatives, problem solving issues within the department.
 
Requirements:
  • Somebody that has previous automotive manufacturing experience, lean 6 sigma experience and understand the nuts and bolts of it.
  • Associate’s Degree (4 year degree is not required)
  • 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Manufacturing experience- Looking to see if they have automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Union Experience is ideal
  • Mechanically Inclined-
  • Candidate will never pick up a tool or part.
  • They need to look at the bolt and determine the size of the bolt and threaded holes and studs.
  • Also, identify fenders etc..
  • Understand which parts go together.
