    FerroWorks, has locations in Pittsburgh, McKees Rocks, and Kutztown, PA which have been in continuous operations since 1869, the same year the first US transcontinental railroad was completed. We have been able to meet the needs of our customers with a steady, dependable and economical supply of high-quality railroad industry products.

    McConway and Torley is hiring for a Production Supervisor position in our Cleaning and Finishing Department. In this position you will manage the day to day activities of the C&F team, including inventory and equipment. You will lead a team to ensure the group is always working effectively and efficiently.

    Location: Lawrenceville, PA

    Shift: 10pm-6am

    Some of your key responsibilities will include:

    • Hiring, training, and coaching Grinders, Welders, and other C&F Staff
    • Ensuring compliance with all safety and quality requirements
    • Inspect and verify work is meeting our standards
    • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
    • Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of critical

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3 years in production leadership or related manufacturing experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a production team
    • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes of pattern and core boxes
    • Ability to understand and utilize computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot
    • Strong communication skills

    Education:

    • High School Diploma or GED is required
    • Associates Degree or applicable related work experience is preferred

    Working Conditions:

    • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
    • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
    • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant

    Safety Activities:

    • Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required
    • Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
    • Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
