About the Company

Our client is a food manufacturer operating a production facility in Cudahy, Wisconsin.

The Role

The Production Supervisor leads production employees on shift, making sure targets are met on time and to high quality standards. You will oversee the production process from tracking yields to making real-time adjustments, and train, coach and motivate your team toward production goals while maintaining safety and quality.

What You Will Do

• Inspect the production floor daily and correct unsafe conditions immediately.
• Lead safety audits and ergonomic initiatives, and ensure adherence to HACCP and USDA regulations.
• Enforce the Food Safety and Food Quality plans and train employees on safe operating procedures, including lock-out/tag-out.
• Track and analyze yields, efficiencies and variances, and work with Operations to improve workflow and equipment use.
• Direct hourly production employees on safety, quality and production goals.
• Lead monthly line meetings and walk the floor daily.
• Analyze product performance metrics and recommend changes that improve efficiency, reduce cost and maintain quality.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience acting as a lead: training, coaching or mentoring less experienced staff, or managing a process or project
• Food or beverage manufacturing background preferred; otherwise logistics or warehouse experience
• Strong communication, analytical and math skills
• Skill motivating, training and coaching employees in a positive, team-oriented environment
• Ability to work in varying conditions (heat and cold), long hours and weekends when needed
