In this role, you will be overseeing the entire manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to lean manufacturing principles. This is a hands-on role. You'll be on the floor daily: resolving build issues, quality escalations, and schedule conflicts in real time alongside your team. Your role will be pertinent in driving operational excellence, meeting on time delivery targets, and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement. AID is in an active growth phase, transitioning to enterprise systems and building scalable production infrastructure. The right candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and is ready to help shape the future of AID.Responsibilities:Develop and manage custom ETO production scheduling with the ability to handle simultaneous multi-panel builds at varying stages of completionBe the first point of escalation on the floor for build issues, wiring/quality discrepancies, or schedule conflicts. Able to assess the problem directly, not just relay itMaintain working technical fluency with UL 508A panel builds (able to read prints, understand wiring/BOM discrepancies, and speak credibly with builders about a technical issue)Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of work.Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to minimize wasteEstablish and maintain quality processes and standards throughout manufacturingLead RCA and CAR to address quality problemsManage and motivate production team. Lead by example on the floor and earn credibility with the team through hands-on competence, not just authorityPromote a safe working environment adhering to all safety processes and proceduresOversee lineside inventory and assist in improving processesPromote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer focusWill be responsible for 6-10 employees in the organizationReports directly to the General Manager - Water InfrastructureRequirements:Minimum of 5 years in electrical panel or switchgear manufacturing, including direct experience with UL 508A industrial control panelsPrior experience in a managerial role or supervisory rolePrior experience with lean manufacturing and a 5S programExperience with ERP systems and familiarity with production data managementBachelor's degree in an engineering discipline preferred; equivalent hands-on experience (e.g., advancement from panel builder/electrician to supervisory roles) is also strongly valuedExcellent written and verbal communication skills are requiredEffective planning, problem solving and decision-making skills are essential Must submit to pre-employment background, drug, and alcohol screening.
