LSI ADL is looking for a Production Supervisor to add to our team at our Columbus, Ohio location.

LSI ADL Technology is an Electronics Manufacturing Services company based in Columbus, Ohio producing Circuit Board Assemblies, Box Build and Cable Assemblies in the Industrial OEM and Lighting markets. We services customers in the Columbus, OH region. Our production work ranges from running Surface Mount Technology Lines, Wave Solder Machines, Potting Machines and Wire Processing equipment in addition to Soldering, Manual Assembly, Conformal Coating & Testing of products. We also incorporate an Inventory Control team responsible for Receiving, Shipping & Materials management throughout the facility.

Job Summary:

Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday | 6:00 PM - 4:00 AM

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising manufacturing production. The supervisor will oversee and manage production shift employees and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standard. This is a highly collaborative position requiring strong organizational, follow up, and communication skills. This position reports to assigned Group Leader.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Trains and manages production employees on the assigned shift.
  • Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of the production shift.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Ensure Employee time record keeping is correct.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees production operations on assigned shift.
  • Ensures proper staffing for efficient operations.
  • Ensure that production is being performed within specification requirements, according to customer expectations and production targets in a safe and effective manner.
  • Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
  • Delivers training for new processes or equipment and assist with the training of new employees.
  • Troubleshoots issues that arise.
  • Reviews daily production records to identify trends or potential performance issues.
  • Notifies maintenance department of equipment problems.
  • Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production processes, tools, and machinery as applicable.
  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership, provide tactical supervision, and effectively delegate prioritized work assignments to subordinate staff.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and management
  • Must be able to exercise independent judgment with limited instruction and guidance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior supervisory experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to traverse the production facility.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
