Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our manufacturing and assembly facility. This role oversees production planning, incoming materials, assembly team performance, inventory management, quality control, and production scheduling. The Production Supervisor serves as the primary link between Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Project Management, and Production teams to ensure efficient workflow and successful project execution. 

This position will lead production personnel, monitor manufacturing performance, maintain safety and quality standards, and ensure customer deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Production & Manufacturing Operations
•    Lead and supervise all daily manufacturing, assembly, and production activities.
•    Direct and support assembly technicians and production personnel to achieve operational goals.
•    Ensure products are manufactured and assembled according to engineering specifications, quality standards, and company requirements.
•    Monitor production output, productivity, and efficiency metrics.
•    Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve throughput.
•    Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient production environment.

Production Planning & Scheduling
•    Develop, maintain, and communicate daily and weekly production schedules.
•    Coordinate work orders and production priorities based on customer demand, project timelines, and facility capacity.
•    Assign workload across production and assembly work cells to maximize efficiency.
•    Track job progress and proactively address delays or resource constraints.
•    Maintain accurate production records and completion dates within company systems.
Assembly Team Leadership
•    Lead, coach, and develop assembly and production personnel.
•    Conduct daily production meetings and communicate priorities, schedules, and performance expectations.
•    Ensure team members are properly trained on processes, equipment, quality standards, and safety procedures.
•    Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Materials & Inventory Management
•    Oversee incoming materials and coordinate receiving activities.
•    Verify materials received match purchase orders and project requirements.
•    Collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
•    Monitor inventory levels and material consumption to prevent shortages and production disruptions.
•    Ensure proper material handling, storage, and inventory accuracy.

Quality Assurance
•    Ensure all products meet Hai Robotics quality standards and customer specifications.
•    Review production documentation, work instructions, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering drawings for accuracy.
•    Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
•    Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality concerns.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
•    Partner with Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on project timelines and deliverables.
•    Provide real-time production status updates and communicate risks or constraints.
•    Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.

Reporting & Performance Management 
•    Track and report production performance, labor utilization, inventory accuracy, and operational KPIs.
•    Monitor production costs and support efforts to improve operational efficiency.
•    Provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership regarding production performance and resource needs.

Qualifications


Education
•    Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
•    Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.


Required Experience
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, production supervision, or assembly operations.
•    Minimum of 2 years of experience leading production, manufacturing, or assembly teams.
•    Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing, automation, robotics, industrial equipment, or related environment preferred.
•    Experience with MES systems
•    Strong understanding of production scheduling, inventory control, material flow, and manufacturing processes.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
•    Ability to work in a manufacturing and assembly environment.
•    Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
•    Ability to occasionally lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
•    Comfortable working around machinery, warehouse equipment, and varying environmental conditions.
