Job Summary

Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers, including overseeing production areas and handling duties related to the production of company products.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Direct and coordinate all production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and priorities.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues to ensure desired outcomes.
• Maintain machine work areas according to 5S principles.
• Assist other shifts when required due to vacations or absences.
• Effectively communicate daily concerns and issues with other shifts and management during shift changes.
• Report any equipment repairs or malfunctions to the appropriate support department.
• Monitor, track, and report all machine data as required.
• Participate in initiatives to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste in the production environment.
• Ensure that all assigned personnel complete and submit required checklists.
• Ensure subordinates are properly trained using approved checklists, procedures, and job descriptions.
• Review staff performance using checklists and production data, providing coaching to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong leadership skills and excellent written and verbal communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to communicate professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization and external contacts.

• Microsoft Excel (Basic formulas)

Working Conditions

This position requires physical exertion. The employee will regularly walk and frequently stand, walk, reach, or kneel. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
