As a Production Supervisor at IPL you will:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers.
Ensure production schedules are met and products meet quality standards.
Champion, monitor and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
Train and mentor production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate production records and reports.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes and workflows.
Monitor and manage production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are met.
Proficient in starting, stopping, and adjusting machines
Recognizing and resolving common molding defects (e.g., short shots, flash, splay)
Performing minor repairs and coordinating with maintenance for major issues
Conducting visual inspections, dimensional checks, and using gauges or calipers
Leading machine operators and technicians, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance
Onboarding new staff and reinforcing best practices
Clear and concise updates to incoming supervisors or managers
Quick decision-making to minimize downtime and scrap
Enforcing PPE use, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe machine operation
Documenting and escalating safety or quality incidents
What you will bring to the role:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment will be advantageous; or extensive experience in all areas of production as a production operator
Track record of managing production teams and meeting production targets.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
