    Description

    The Production Supervisor I plans, organizes, supervises, and coordinates the work to meet company and customer goals with quality and efficiency. Manage and lead direct reporting employees.

    Sunday- Thursday 10:00PM to 7:00AM

    Training will be required on 1st shift: Monday- Friday 6AM to 3PM for 4 to 6 weeks

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plans and organizes work to meet daily production and shipping requirements.
    • Maintains inventory of required raw materials and ensures that materials are ordered in a timely manner.
    • Monitors quality of products to verify conformance to specifications. Controlling and assuring the quality of outgoing material.
    • With the support of the production manager and/or supervisor II, trains new employees in job requirements and existing employees on new techniques.
    • Assist in interpreting company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
    • Assist in interpreting specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assign duties.
    • Assist in creating and modifying manufacturing instructions.
    • Assist in implementing and maintaining shop floor practices such as lean manufacturing by utilizing teams.
    • Handle internal and external questions in a prompt, professional manner, including order status and contract review.
    • Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment and methods.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
    • Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
    • Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Two to three years progressively more responsible experience
    • In addition to the knowledge normally acquired through a general high school education, the job requires a specialized skill or knowledge which may be obtained in high school or during a very brief period of intensive preparation outside of school
    • Strong attention to detail

    Additional Requirements:

    • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
