Production Supervisor

LHH is seeking a Production Supervisor for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a food/beverage manufacturing client located in Indianapolis, IN. This is a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility and join a well-established organization who has experienced significant growth due to market expansion and the onboarding of new clients and product lines. You will lead production operations on your assigned production line, manage manpower, assist with continuous improvement projects, and contribute to the growth of this facility and its employees. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $75,000-85,000 per year plus bonus and includes several medical insurance options to choose from, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan. ***Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.*** Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise production operations on an assigned shift to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery goals
  • Lead daily shift huddles, safety talks, and production/quality meetings
  • Champion a strong safety and food safety culture; ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and all safety regulations
  • Execute daily production schedules by assigning labor, managing priorities, and adjusting resources in real time
  • Coach, train, and develop hourly team members; provide real-time feedback and conduct performance reviews
  • Address performance, conduct, and attendance issues; partner with HR on corrective actions and hiring decisions
  • Monitor KPIs including throughput, efficiency, waste, labor, and downtime; take corrective action as needed
  • Troubleshoot production and downtime issues; partner with maintenance and quality to resolve root causes
  • Conduct regular floor walkthroughs to ensure safety, quality, housekeeping, and standard work compliance
  • Verify raw materials, changeovers, and first-pass quality checks to prevent non-conforming product
  • Complete and submit shift reports covering production results, labor, downtime, and quality metrics
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth operations and on-time customer fulfillment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 3+ years of production leadership experience within a manufacturing plant is required
  • Must have 2+ years of experience within food/beverage manufacturing
  • Previous experience and/or knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and SQF is highly preferred
  • Must be a natural problem-solver who possesses excellent communication skills
  • Preference toward previous experience using ERP software and intermediate skills using Excel
  • Must possess the ability to maintain positive relationships with customers, employees and fellow leadership, exemplifying professionalism and driving a culture of positivity and excellence
