The Production Supervisor
is responsible for leading shift operations, directing hourly associates, and ensuring consistent performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and employee engagement. This role plays a key part in achieving plant objectives by reinforcing operational standards, developing talent, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Production Supervisor Responsibilities:
Lead shift operations and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with plant goals.
Coordinate and verify completion of required safety training, monthly safety initiatives, and incident follow-up actions.
Promote a strong safety culture by coaching team members on safe work practices and ensuring compliance with operational standards.
Communicate customer expectations and ensure production schedules support delivery commitments and quality requirements.
Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and partner with operators to implement sustainable corrective actions.
Drive TPM and continuous improvement efforts, including Autonomous Maintenance and Focused Improvement activities.
Lead, coach, and develop hourly associates through clear performance expectations, feedback, documentation, and training plans.
Support cost reduction, productivity improvement, and waste elimination through standard work and resource planning
Production Supervisor Qualifications:
Minimum of 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, distribution, or military settings.
Experience leading teams, making high-impact decisions, and developing talent in a fast-paced environment
Employee and labor relations experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.
Lean, TPM, or continuous improvement experience strongly preferred.
Strong communication skills, a change-agent mindset, and a safety-first approach.
