Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for processes associated with assigned area(s) of a manufacturing facility.
Function as a member of the management team in the identification of improvement opportunities and the development of organizational priorities. Continually improve response times and quality levels of the production systems. Motivate team members in the achievement of performance objectives. Comply with all safety standards and regulations and continually strive to maintain a safe work environment for all associates.
Essential Functions:
- Plan, organize, and develop company resources to meet all established goals and objectives for on-time shipment of products to customer.
- Develop teams and team members to accept increasing levels of responsibility and authority with the ultimate objective being self-direction.
- Supervise the maintaining of a safe, clean, and secure work environment.
- Maintain and lead MOS process.
- Identify areas to improve and then lead efforts to complete the improvement
- Ensure firm, fair, and consistent application of and adherence to all established company safety, quality, employee handbook policies, and procedures.
- Provide training to ensure that only qualified personnel are performing work.
- Enforce all preventative maintenance schedules as applicable.
Education & Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Associate degree or equivalent and relevant experience is required.
- 3-5 years supervisory experience in a team or highly empowered environment.
- Experience with welding, press work, painting, and assembly line processes desired.
- Practical experience facilitating problem-solving processes (preferably in a highly empowered environment) is preferred.
- Must possess the ability to effectively direct, motivate and coordinate all activities associated with the manufacturing processes required in a specified area of responsibility.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
