Description
- Lead, motivate, and develop production employees to achieve operational goals.
- Drive performance related to quality, productivity, safety, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and execute plans to meet or exceed departmental objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators and utilize visual management tools to track results.
- Identify production bottlenecks, equipment issues, quality concerns, and safety risks, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Partner closely with quality teams to ensure products meet required specifications and standards.
- Provide coaching, training, and support to production personnel, leads, and setup technicians.
- Ensure staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation align with production requirements.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support daily manufacturing operations.
- Prioritize departmental activities to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
- Communicate production goals, expectations, and improvement opportunities clearly to team members and leadership.
Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of production supervision experience within a manufacturing setting or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing production personnel.
- Effective problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing-related software systems.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
