Description
Position Overview
The Production Supervisor leads day-to-day operations on the production floor, ensuring clear communication, efficient resource allocation, and alignment with Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives. This role partners cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and other teams to support production goals in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support production teams to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and Quality Management System requirements
- Plan and schedule work to optimize efficiency and staffing
- Troubleshoot production issues (materials, tooling, workflow)
- Support training and cross-training to improve team flexibility
- Oversee assembly, testing, and quality of finished products
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Support hiring and workforce planning as needed
- Ensure proper line setup, clearance, and product traceability
- Maintain equipment and enforce safety and cleanroom standards
- Drive continuous improvement and support new product introductions
Qualifications
- Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in cleanroom and regulated environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to read blueprints and work instructions
- Hands-on experience with standard hand tools
Preferred:
- Experience with electro-mechanical assembly (wiring, soldering, PCBA)
- Knowledge of ESD, GMP, and GDP practices
- Familiarity with inspection tools and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience with ISO 13485 and FDA-regulated environments
