Pay Rate: $47,000/yr. - $55,000/yr.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and employee performance while meeting production schedules and operational goals. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving abilities and a proven background in manufacturing supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
- Lead and coordinate manufacturing and assembly line personnel to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Monitor workflow and address issues involving equipment, tooling, materials, specifications, and staffing.
- Communicate production challenges, safety concerns, and personnel issues to management in a timely manner.
- Assist with machine setups and support initiatives to reduce setup times and improve productivity.
- Identify root causes of production issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Train, coach, motivate, and cross-train employees to maximize flexibility and performance.
- Ensure adequate materials and supplies are available to prevent production downtime.
- Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations and administer corrective action when necessary.
- Foster a positive team environment focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and workflow management.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and OSHA compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and employee development skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with assembly, fabrication, extrusion, rubber manufacturing, or similar production processes is a plus.
- Proficient with production reporting and basic computer applications.
