
The Materials Supervisor will lead all inbound, outbound, inventory, and claims processing operations within a high-volume distribution and logistics environment. This individual will supervise hourly employees and GSR-6 supervisors while ensuring safe, efficient material flow to meet dealer shipping commitments. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with experience in unionized environments, labor relations, logistics operations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead inbound, outbound, and claims processing operations.
Supervise end-to-end material flow throughout the facility.

Manage workforce scheduling, vacation planning, overtime, and attendance.
Administer Ford-UAW National and Local Contract provisions.
Lead, coach, and mentor GSR-6 supervisors and hourly employees.
Conduct crew meetings and resolve labor grievances.
Support ISO 14001 environmental compliance initiatives.
Analyze operational data and implement corrective actions.
Maintain facility organization, cleanliness, and safety standards.
Provide leadership coverage across shifts when necessary.
Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, distribution, or material handling environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to hold employees accountable and drive results.
Ability to work weekends, overtime, and non-traditional hours when required.
Experience managing performance and operational metrics.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Experience within a UAW/unionized environment.
Previous labor relations experience.
SAP and/or EWM experience.
Experience managing grievances and union contract administration.
Military leadership background.
Recent college graduates with strong leadership experience.
Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing exposure.
