Location: Monroe, MI (Fully Onsite)

Schedule: Day Shift | 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Production Supervisor - Material Handling to oversee daily warehouse and distribution operations in a fast-paced logistics environment. This role is responsible for leading hourly employees, driving operational performance, ensuring process compliance, and maintaining a safe and productive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 15-35 hourly employees across:

• Inbound Operations

• Outbound Operations

• Cross-Dock Operations

• Inventory Control

• Drive operational performance and accountability for:

• Safety metrics

• Quality metrics

• Inventory accuracy

• Labor productivity

• Cycle times

• Absenteeism management

• Vacation scheduling

• Process adherence and continuous improvement

• Conduct and facilitate daily startup meetings.

• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership while maintaining accurate documentation.

• Foster positive employee relations and provide coaching, counseling, and performance support as needed.

• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

• Maintain a customer-focused mindset and commitment to service excellence.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, distribution, or similar operational environment.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging or high-pressure situations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in:

• UAW environments

• Distribution centers

• Logistics operations

• Supply chain organizations

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
