Production Supervisor - Medical Device - Providence, RI

The Production Supervisor will lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, spending the majority of their time on the production floor overseeing employees, production schedules, quality, and operational performance. This individual will play a critical role in driving process improvements, developing team members, and ensuring manufacturing goals are achieved safely and efficiently.

Description

The Production Supervisor will report directly into the VP of Operations and be responsible for:

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop production employees.
• Manage daily production schedules, labor allocation, and workflow priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational best practices.
• Monitor production output, quality, efficiency, and safety performance.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve communication and operational effectiveness.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management activities.
• Ensure compliance with all quality standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

Profile

• Associate's degree in Management, Engineering, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  
• 7+ years of supervisory or management experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with production planning, scheduling, and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong leadership, communication, and employee development skills.
• Experience within medical device or other regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
