Plant Production Supervisor
Respected dairy cooperative is seeking a Plant Production Supervisor at Middlebury, VT plant location. The typical schedule is a 10-hour shift from 6p-4a with workdays scheduled on a rotating basis. Schedule could also be 12 hours/day from 4p-4a. Schedule may be subject to change depending on plant production needs.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Direct responsibility for cheese and whey production to ensure that quality, volume, cost standards, and customer specifications are achieved.
- Strong leadership for production employees within the plant along with promoting and modeling a culture of ethics, integrity, safety, quality, efficiency and constant application of best practices.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of an Associates Degree (Bachelor's strongly preferred) plus 3-5+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment (dairy processing preferred). Specific requirements include:
- Demonstrated leadership abilities including the ability to train, motivate, coach and lead others.
- Solid knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety and Food Quality (SQF) programs.
- Analytical, problem solving, continuous improvement skills and computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.
