Production Supervisor

GEODynamics in Millsap, TX is looking for qualified candidates for Production Supervisor. Our campus is on the frontage road of Interstate 20 near Millsap, TX.  Located west of Fort Worth, it is an easy commute from surrounding communities of Weatherford, Stephenville, Mineral Wells and Aledo. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develops production schedule to meet production sales demand / forecast requirements and monitors progress and reviews and revises schedule as needed
• Ensure production team has access to all relevant raw materials and equipment necessary to meet operational demands
• Accomplishes Production department employee objectives by orienting, training, assigning, and coaching employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
• Ensure production processes are being carried out in compliance with company and regulatory requirements
• Meets operational standards for production, safety, and quality; resolves problems, and identifies process improvements
• Maintains product production by observing process volumes, recommending process adjustments.
• Records production by completing daily shift production reports; calculating yields and recoveries.
• Leads the practices of safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and GEO-specific Health and Safety expectations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily supervision of a team.
• Selection of employees who possess the qualities, technical skills and experience that will enable them to become effective and successful contributors.
• Create a working environment that actively develops and encourages employees to achieve their maximum potential and overcome deficiencies through education and on-the-job training.
• Lead and influence the activity of employees in a desired direction; demonstrate the ability to inspire support, trust and loyalty from your employees.
• Promote teamwork and distribute work among subordinates to ensure achievement of group objectives within expected time frame.
• Ability to evaluate strengths and weaknesses of personnel and differentiate between levels of on-the-job proficiency of subordinates to maintain an efficient and successful staff.
• Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.

QUALFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4-6 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment
• Experiencing leading a team in production operations
• Basic to Intermediate computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Requires daily sitting, standing, bending, carrying, reaching, and walking
