Production Supervisor

Reports To: Operations Manager

Production Supervisor is to oversee the safe and efficient processing of chemicals in our industrial settings. This role is responsible for ensuring that all chemicals are handled and stored correctly, supervising teams of workers and monitoring their performance, and ensuring that safety regulations are followed. The Production Supervisor must also be able to identify and troubleshoot any potential safety issues that arise.

Competencies
Knowledge of:
- General processing/operations principles.
- Usage and handling of compressed gases and industrial chemicals.
- Department of Transportation regulations if driving
Skill in:
- Oral communication.
- Directing others; providing performance feedback.
- Handling pressure.
- Basic mathematics, such as addition and subtraction of fractions and decimals
Ability to:
- Load and unload vehicles, using pallet jacks, forklifts and other equipment
- Organize work schedules
- Influence others (advise, persuade, negotiate, instruct & train).
- Deal with frustrating situations.
- Prepare reports.
- Recognize site alarms and malfunctions.
- Read and understand training materials
- Visualize the connections/relationships between piping, valves and other components of the filling and warehouse systems
- Provide quick reaction and immediate response to required situations
- Report employee attendance issues to Production Manager

Worker may be exposed to:
- Hazardous materials, Bleach, caustic, HCl and chlorine gas
- Outdoor weather conditions, working in salt yard and changing roof filters
- Work irregular hours, swing shifts, Day and Night Shifts with 12-hour shifts

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two to five years’ experience in a Company plant or warehouse in a lead or supervisory capacity Required
- Ability to work overtime & a rotating schedule (additional hours, holidays and weekends based on business needs) Required
- Must be able to physically maneuver up to 50 lbs independently and 100 lbs with assistance (e.g., a two-person lift or mechanical aid). Required
