Job Description:

Now hiring Production Supervisor - Direct Hire

Monroe, LA

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Shift: 8 am - 5 pm, Mon - Fri + Sat as needed

You know the drill - production ramps up, the team grows, and they need a Production Supervisor who can handle it all. We're hiring for a trusted local company, and they're counting on someone like you to keep the floor running smoothly.

What You Need to Lead:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication.
  • Knowledge of steel products, pipe manufacturing processes, and industrial safety standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in metal processing, pipe fabrication, and related tasks.
  • Workflow Management: Assign jobs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of production schedules.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work for compliance with specifications and company standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA and company safety policies; conduct regular safety checks.
  • Resource Management: Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Training & Development: Provide guidance and on-the-job training for new hires and existing staff.
  • Problem Solving: Address production issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production output, labor hours, and material usage.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments (sales, logistics, maintenance) to meet customer requirements.
