Production Supervisor

Position Summary

Individual isresponsible for managing and directing theday to dayoperations of theProductionDepartment. This is a hands-on position working in afast-pacedenvironment. The ProductionSupervisor will ensure that all safety, production, and quality standards are met while achieving on-time delivery commitments to our customers.

Essential Functions/Key Deliverables

• Adheres and enforces the established safety, environmentaland product safety policies, and procedures.Ensures safety and housekeeping is maintainedand validates that associated inspections are performed.

• Reads and analyzes production schedules todetermineproduction requirements andevaluatescurrent production estimates and outputs. 

• Implements andestablisheswork procedures, processes and standards that support company and departmental goals and objectives.

• Maintains production, spoilage, and maintenance records for responsibleshiftand completes a shift end report.

• Trains anddirectsoperators ason machine set-up and operation procedures. 

• Continuously inspects materials, products, and equipment for defects/malfunctions and coordinates the proper resources to address the issues.

• Supports development, implementation, maintenance, andcontinuousimprovement of the food safetyprogram.

• Responsible formaintainingprocess qualityin accordance withestablished customerandplantquality standards.

• Serves as the facilitator (in charge) of the plant during designated period(s) of time as directed by management.

• Conductperiodicreviewsof employeeperformance and development.

• Maintainsemployeeattendance, evaluation, and othernecessaryrecords.  

• Responsible to schedule overtime, job assignments,vacations, and holidays.

• Ensures a positive and productive work environment ismaintainedwithin the crew, across departments andplant. 

• Perform any other dutyreasonablecorresponding with the role.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

• Associate’sdegree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with at least3 to 5yearssupervisory experience in ahigh-speedmanufacturing environment.

• Provedtrack recordof leading and mentoring others.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products – SAP experience helpful.
