    Job Description

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Provide supervision and performance management to the Day Shift
    • Accountable for delivering operations plan and the items assigned within the shift plan
    • Identify improvement opportunities that may lead to implementation of solutions
    • Ensure that constraints are proactively managed, and the desired results are delivered on a daily basis
    • Identify maintenance needs and initiate appropriate work requests
    • Lead quality start/end of shift meetings
    • Ensure that all compliance activities for their shift are completed
    • Accountable for unit and personnel safety on their shift and the safe execution of all work
    • Assigns work to employees
    • Establishes goals and holds the team accountable for Safety, Quality and output
    • Works closely with other managers, supervisors, leads and employees to support the objectives of the company, employees and customers
    • Commits the team to deliverable performance standards that support corporate objectives
    • Creates a positive work environment for the team and supports other department needs to foster overall teamwork

    Qualifications & Experience:

    Education:

    • High school diploma or GED

    Experience:

    • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
    • Experience with production processes, workflow optimization, and quality control standards.
    • Experience with production scheduling, inventory control, and operational reporting.
    • Experience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing setting preferred.
    • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives preferred.

    Skills:

    • Understanding of production operations, workflow efficiency, and quality standards.
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety practices, and compliance requirements.
    • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, production schedules, and technical documentation.
    • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including production tracking systems, spreadsheets, email, and database tools.
    • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Effective organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and multiple levels of the organization.
    • Understanding of data mining techniques within ERP systems, and use of Microsoft excel and other database programs to support the analysis needed to accomplish continuous improvement activities
    • Excellent communication skills

    Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

    • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor for extended periods of time.
    • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling as required to monitor operations and assist staff.
    • Occasional lifting and carrying of materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity required to operate machinery, tools, and production equipment.
    • Ability to visually inspect products, machinery, and work areas for quality and safety compliance.
    • Ability to hear and respond to alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructions in a manufacturing environment.
    • Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing or production facility with exposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, fumes, temperature variations, and vibration.
    • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, steel-toe footwear, and protective clothing is required.
    • Work environment may include hot or cold conditions depending on the production process.
    • Must be able to work flexible shifts, or weekends, as operationally required.
    • Adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements is mandatory
