US Modules is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations at its solar module production facility in College Station, TX. This role is responsible for supervising production teams, ensuring safety, quality, and delivery targets are met, and driving continuous improvement in a high-volume, automated manufacturing environment. The Production Supervisor role aligns with operational practices used by top-tier global solar manufacturers.
Supervise daily production activities across assigned lines or areas. - Ensure production schedules, throughput, and output targets are achieved. - Manage staffing, shift coverage, breaks, and overtime. - Conduct shift startup meetings, handoffs, and daily communication. - Monitor KPIs such as safety, quality, output, scrap, and downtime.
- Enforce OSHA requirements, PPE usage, and safe work practices. - Ensure adherence to quality standards, work instructions, and inspection plans. - Lead safety talks, audits, and incident investigations. - Address quality issues, defects, and corrective actions in coordination with Quality.
- Lead, coach, and develop Production Team Leads and operators. - Support training, cross-training, and employee development. - Manage performance, attendance, and disciplinary actions. - Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost. - Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to resolve production issues. - Support equipment startups, process changes, and production ramp-ups. - Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. - 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production operations. - 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. - Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Knowledge of safety, quality, and production control principles.
- Experience in solar module, electronics, semiconductor, or automated manufacturing. - Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies. - Experience working with production KPIs and reporting tools. - Ability to support rotating shifts, overtime, and weekend production.
This is an on-site manufacturing role requiring extended presence on the production floor. The position involves working around automated equipment and leading large hourly teams. PPE is required at all times. Shift flexibility is required based on production demands.
