Position Summary: (Shifts: M-Th 6am-3pm/F-Sun 6am-6pm)

We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, productive, and quality-focused work environment while ensuring production schedules are achieved. The Production Supervisor provides leadership, coaching, and accountability for production employees while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop production employees on the assigned shift.
  • Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Assign work and manage staffing levels to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Conduct daily shift start-up meetings and communicate production priorities and expectations.
  • Monitor production performance and respond quickly to operational challenges to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, FDA regulations, safety requirements, and all applicable manufacturing policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely production, quality, and operational documentation.
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Planning teams to resolve production issues and improve workflow.
  • Investigate production concerns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, labor efficiency, scrap reduction, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Monitor labor utilization, production output, and key performance metrics to achieve operational goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment while ensuring adherence to 5S standards.
  • Coach employees on performance expectations and provide regular feedback, recognition, and development opportunities.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, employee development, and corrective action processes.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment.
  • Prepare production reports and communicate shift performance during shift handoffs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsRequired

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting production deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment, including food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or consumer packaged goods.
  • Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience using ERP or manufacturing software systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods.
  • Frequently climb stairs, bend, reach, stoop, and inspect production equipment.
  • Occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
